Levels of Membership

OSCI offers a range of membership options for companies and not-for-profit organizations. OSCI consists of five volunteer-based technical working groups overseen by the Board of Directors, which helps shape direction and strategy.

Benefits of Membership

Depending on the level of participation, membership allows for benefits such as:

  • Influence of the direction and development of SystemC
  • Participation in development of new language capabilities and extension libraries in technical working groups
  • Voting rights for the OSCI Board of Directors and in other organizational matters
  • Voting rights on committee and subcommittee creation and technical direction
  • Ability to recommend and chair committees and subcommittees
  • Receive updates on activities of all working groups
  • Restricted access to pre-release versions of OSCI specifications, members only information and downloads
  • Restricted access to pre-release library source code
  • Participation in the development of market specifications, roadmaps and other technical guidelines that direct the work and perception of SystemC and OSCI

Corporate Membership

In addition to the above benefits, Corporate members:

  • May be elected to serve on the OSCI Board of Directors
  • Set OSCI priorities and drive key decisions
  • Participate in the OSCI Steering and Promotions Group

Purpose To allow an organization with significant interest in SystemC to have impact on OSCI strategic direction in addition to participation in the technical working groups. To allow an organization to participate in the technical development of SystemC through representation in the technical working groups.
Working Group (WG) Participation Unlimited number of company employees in any number of Working Groups. Unlimited number of company employees in any number of Working Groups.
Steering Group (SG) Guaranteed seat on the Steering Group, by default any company members who are Working Group chairs. Otherwise, 1 designate from company. Seat on the Steering Group if any company members are Working Group chairs.
Board of Directors Able to nominate a corporate member representative for election to Board of Directors. No participation on Board of Directors.
Early access to SystemC deliverables Yes Yes
Membership Voting 1 vote cast by Corporate Representative. 1 vote cast by Corporate Representative.
